Beastybats & Balderdash

Beastybats & Balderdash is a weekly short-story project inspired by Erin Morgenstern's flax-golden tales. Every Friday, a photograph by Nguyen-Anh Le will be accompanied by a ten sentence short story by Amanda Amos.

Beastybats & Balderdash stories are tagged in case they wander off and you want to find them again. They have a nasty habit of doing that.

About the Artists

Amanda Amos is a story hunter. She tries to catch stories and write them down before they run away. But her only weapons are a pen and a sometimes-ferocious house cat named Sagan, so it's really not her fault if some of the stories escape. She also enjoys contorting her body into ridiculous poses and watching her daughter grow up too fast.

Nguyen-Anh Le was raised in a small village that was later destroyed by bloodthirsty warlords. Though captured and enslaved, he later escaped to wander the earth, where he encountered cryptic wise men who informed him of his hidden noble heritage. He has a great destiny to fulfill. He also enjoys traveling and playing the accordion. You can find more of his photographs here on flickr.
